The inspiration for the collaboration stems from the origins of Slam City Skates , when there was a strong connection with cult record store, Rough Trade . Both brands were under the same roof at the time and shared the same love for skateboarding, music and art. The collection features artwork designed by Chris Long that had previously been used on Slam City Skates plastic bags and appeared as a full-page advert in RAD magazine in 1989. 30 years later, they felt it was time to resurrect this iconic graphic.
